This new article highlights the efforts of the Government of Tamil Nadu to promote the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector in the state. Here are the key points:


1. Comprehensive EV Sector Roadmap: The Government of Tamil Nadu is engaged in drawing up acomprehensive roadmap for the electric vehicle sector. This shows that the government is actively working to support and promote the growth of EVs in the state.
2. Government Facilitation Centre: To promote the EV industry, a Government Facilitation Center is being started in Coimbatore. The center is a collaborative effort involving 25 companies working in the EV domain.

3. Early movers in the EV sector: Tamil Nadu is considered to be one of the early movers in the electric vehicle sector. The state is actively attracting investments fromcompanies willing to set up SAIL manufacturing units.

6. Use Cluster-Based Charging Infrastructure: The government aims to adopt a Cluster-Based approach to develop EV charging infrastructure. Six cities have been shortlisted, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Madurai, Tirunelveli, and Trichy. The focus is on building an adequate charging infrastructure to facilitate EV adoption and promote significant volumes of EVs.
Overall, Tamil Nadu is taking proactive measures to encourage the growth of the electric vehicle industry, making it an attractive destination for EV manufacturers and related industries.
